The Medically Handicapped Children's Program provides specialized medical services for children and youth with special health care needs. Services include service coordination/case management, specialty medical team evaluations, access to specialty physicians, and payment of authorized medical services.

The Medically Handicapped Children's Program does NOT provide or cover general medical care.
Individuals, parents, guardians, agencies, and physicians may refer a child/youth to the Medically Handicapped Children's Program at any time. You can request an application from any Department of Health and Human Services local office.
