The map below compares average radon levels in Nebraska counties by using data through 2022. It's patterned after the EPA Map and has 3 zones. Note that homes with elevated radon levels were found in all 3 zones. Regardless of geographic location, all homes should be tested for radon.

  • Zone 1 counties have a predicted average indoor radon level greater than 4 pCi/L.
  • Zone 2 counties have a predicted average indoor radon level between 2 and 4 pCi/L.
  • Zone 3 counties have a predicted average indoor radon level less than 2 pCi/L.
